On May 23, 2025 BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau had a meeting with Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Major-General Kaw Lei and Military, Navy and Air Force Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus Brigadier-General Kyaw So U. The parties discussed issues related to training of Myanmar students at BSTU.

The high-profile delegation also had a meeting with 34 students from Myanmar who are currently doing their Master’s Degree at Belarusian universities (BSU, BSTU, BSUIR).
