On May 6, 2025 delegation of Belarusian State Technological University headed by Rector Ihar Voitau visited Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev. The delegation also included Nikolai Gundilovich, Director of Institute of Professional Development and Retraining and Dmitriy Kuis, Head of Department of Materials Science and Engineering of Technical Systems.

The BSTU delegation had meetings with Vladimir Bogatyrev, Rector of Samara University, and Viktor Soyfer, President of Samara University. The parties discussed cooperation opportunities and extension of contacts between the two higher schools.?

During the visit BSTU and Samara University signed an Agreement of Cooperation which encompasses such forms of collaboration as double-degree programmes, academic mobility, internships, visit lecturing, participation in science & tech events, joint publications and research projects. The BSTU delegation had a visit to the Museum of Samara University where they became familiarized with the history and key achievements of the University.???

The delegation had a chance to visit several interactive educational locations of the Advanced Engineering Aerospace School (AEAS) where they were introduced to cutting-edge techniques of teaching and research in the field of aerospace technology. They also made a visit to the Department of Geoinformatics, Unmanned Systems Centre, interuniversity Department of Space Studies and Nanosatellite Technology Centre.

Further on the delegation was brought to the Ground-Based Control System of Small Spacecraft and Digital Factory of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. At the Nanosatellite Testing Centre, the guests were shown the latest developments in the field of satellite technology.

The BSTU delegation got familiar with AEAS education and research laboratory for design and performance testing of small spacecraft payload as well as with AEAS laboratory for optical laser technology. The visit wrapped up with a visit to R&D laboratory-35 and the Artificial Intelligence Institute.

The visit is bound to strengthen the ties between Samara University and Belarusian State Technological University and to boost further cooperation.
